La Trattoria

Extremely disappointed with the service, very upsetting and will not be returning. Called to make a booking for 7pm for 2 people which was booked out but offered us a table for 8pm which we took. Upon arrival we were immediately shocked and confused with the amount of bar and waiting staff which refused to greet us, and the amount of people who seemed to just be standing there waiting like we were. We forced conversation with one of the bar staff explaining we had a dinner reservation for 2 people at 8pm and he shrugged us off like we weren't there and continued to tidy up behind the bar. After 5 minutes of waiting we managed to ask a waitress what was going on as we had a booking. She said all the other people behind us also have bookings and are still waiting for their tables so we just need to "wait 2 minutes". After waiting for over 15 minutes with no service what so ever, 2 more people walked in and wanted a table for 8 people. To our shock they were more than happy to clear tables and make room for those people who had arrived and we were still left standing there and completely ignored by all staff. We decided to leave as by this point I was extremely upset by how we had been treated at this restaurant. What was supposed to be a lovely dinner for a significant occasion for me and my partner was ruined.
